Spaghetti and Pork Meatballs

A Plant-Based twist on an all time favourite, this recipe will have you coming back for seconds!

Serves: 4
Ingredients:
- 3 Tbsp olive oil
- 400g dried spaghetti
- Fresh parsley, to serve
- Deliciou Vegan Cheese Seasoning, to serve
- 1 packet Deliciou Plant-Based Pork
- 1 cup (240ml) chilled water
- 1 Tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 small onion, grated
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- ½ cup fresh parsley, finely chopped
- 2 Tbsp plain flour
- Salt and pepper, to taste

- 700g tomato passata
- ½ cup (120ml) water
- 3 teaspoons dried Italian herbs
- 1 teaspoon chilli flakes, optional
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Combine all pork ingredients in a large bowl and mix well. Shape mixture into meatballs. If time allows, cover and refrigerate for 20 mins.
- Meanwhile, bring a large saucepan of salted water to the boil and cook the pasta according to the packet instructions, then drain.
- Heat 1 Tbsp oil in a large frypan over medium-high heat and fry the meatballs until golden brown. Set aside.
- In the same frypan, over medium heat, add remaining oil, onion and garlic and sauté until translucent.
- Add remaining sauce ingredients and bring to a simmer, cooking for 5-6 mins until thickened slightly. Add the meatballs into the sauce and stir to coat.
- To serve, divide pasta between 4 bowls and top with meatballs and sauce. Garnish with nutritional yeast flakes or Deliciou Vegan Cheese Seasoning and parsley. Enjoy!
